What A Day (Part 2)
Just when I thought yesterday would be the highlight of my week, this morning just had to be better, and I thank the good old Lord for it.
Today was ikey’s FCM birthday bash and he rented out the whole BGC turf for us. With my knocking knees I decided to play because of this special occasion and I managed to score 2 goals in the second half.
The first one was care of Mike G and his wonderful pass from the left wing. The second was a classic Niño “The Saint” Lucero long shout from outside the penalty box, hitting the crossbar before meeting the back of the net. Remembering the feeling of scoring a goal is like remembering an orgasm, seriously. “Damn, that was awesome” kind of moment.
It’s been a long time since I’ve played at this level, and it’s been a long time since I’ve scored goals to be proud of. Right now I’m high on endorphins and nostalgia.
